HB Strategies is accepting applications for two legislative internships in our Topeka office for the 2026 state legislative session. The positions offer students valuable hands-on experience with the legislative process while supporting our team’s work with clients across Kansas.

The internships will run the duration of the 2026 legislative session, from January 12 through April 11, with approximately 16 hours per week in our Topeka office. Preference will be given to candidates available full days two days per week (Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays).

The position pays $20 per hour and interns will perform a variety of tasks including:
·      tracking legislative bill files
·      researching and drafting client memos and updates
·      attending or reviewing legislative and agency hearings
·      managing data within our database
