Jack Russell

Jack utilizes his experience in policy, law, and government affairs to support the HBS Nebraska team in advancing client objectives through policy research and insightful analysis. Jack’s work across all branches of government provides him with a comprehensive understanding of how policy is developed, implemented, and how to move client priorities forward. Most recently, Jack served as a legal clerk at Union Pacific Railroad, where he conducted in-depth research on regulatory compliance, antitrust matters, property disputes, tort claims, and corporate governance.

Jack previously served as a Policy and Research Coordinator for the Lincoln Independent Business Association where he advocated for member interests through oral and written testimony before the city council and multiple state legislative committees as well as facilitating meetings with elected officials and members. Earlier in his career Jack served in the Lincoln District Office of Congressman Jeff Fortenberry and on the staff of Nebraska Governor Pete Ricketts.

Jack earned a bachelor’s in economics with a minor in political science and a certificate in Public Policy Analysis from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln. He later earned a Juris Doctorate from the University of Nebraska College of Law.
