Max brings Capitol Hill experience and expertise in federal policy development, legislative strategy, and stakeholder engagement to his position as an Associate on the HB Strategies Federal team.

Max most recently served as Policy Coordinator at Citizens for Responsible Energy Solutions, CRES, where he monitored federal policy developments, supported advocacy initiatives, and assessed the impact of legislation on the clean energy sector. He managed stakeholder engagement efforts and coordinated policy discussions and organizational events.

Previously, Max worked as Legislative Correspondent to former Congressman Kelly Armstrong, handling constituent communications and supporting policy projects. His Capitol Hill experience also includes an internship with U.S. Senator Michael Bennet and work in corporate government relations at Visa Inc., where he focused on financial services policy.

A Colorado native, Max graduated from Colgate University in 2024 with a bachelor’s degree in political science and philosophy.
