With a strong background in legal research, policy analysis, and community development, Melissa brings both academic rigor and practical experience to her work at HBS Maryland. She utilizes her skills and knowledge to support the team with executing strategies and analyzing potential opportunities and challenges to achieve results for clients. Melissa’s experience includes completing a series of high-impact internships with the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, and the Howard County Circuit Court. In each position, she contributed to legal decisionmaking processes—drafting memoranda, reviewing case law, and observing judicial proceedings across employment, healthcare, and family law. Melissa most recently earned her J.D. from the University of Baltimore School of Law in May 2025, while interning at the Maryland office, and joined HBS as a full-time Associate in June.
