The Bipartisan Policy Center in Washington recently named Senator Roy Blunt, Chairman of HBS Leadership Strategies Advisory Services, as an Executive Fellow. When announcing Sen. Blunt BPC noted his long career in public service that “demonstrated a commitment to forging relationships on both sides of the aisle on some of America’s most pressing issues, looking for common-sense solutions.”
BPC also named former Congresswoman Val Demings to its prestigious fellows’ program.
Senator Blunt said, “I’ve benefited from the work of BPC since its founding. Its foundation is bipartisan not nonpartisan and finding that place that produces the consensus necessary to move forward is the essence of democracy. Representative Demings and I are going to work to help find those places.”
BPC was established in 2007 by former Senate Majority Leaders Howard Baker, Tom Daschle, Bob Dole and George Mitchell, as a non-profit organization that drives principled solutions through rigorous analysis, reasoned negotiation and respectful dialogue. With projects in multiple issue areas, BPC combines politically-balanced policymaking with strong, proactive advocacy and outreach.
