HBS Texas Principal Molly Spratt Leads Advocacy and Statewide Operations for Computer Science Education Coalition CS4TX

Husch Blackwell Strategies Texas is expanding its work for CS4TX (Computer Science for Texas) as HBS Principal Molly Spratt broadens her role for the organization from lead lobbyist to Executive Director. Molly will now oversee legislative strategies and lead statewide operations for CS4TX’s member companies.

CS4TX is a broad-based coalition of business leaders, parents, and educators dedicated to ensuring that all Texas students have access to computer science (CS) education. This initiative is designed to prepare students and create awareness on the opportunities for high-wage, in-demand careers that will significantly contribute to the economic growth of Texas.

Molly has already worked to secure a $14M appropriation that will help recruit new CS educators through professional development and stipends, enhance CS proficiency in public schools, address over 80,000 cybersecurity and computing job vacancies, and ensure high schools comply with Texas CS education requirements.

Molly has earned the respect of state lawmakers for her near decade of in-depth policy experience inside the Texas Capitol. She was recognized by the state’s top political media outlet, Capitol Inside, as a “Rising Star” lobbyist in 2023.
