Matt’s nearly twenty-year tenure in Midwest politics and policy has included work on client issues ranging from national household brand names to nonprofit causes at the state and local level.  

In 2010 Matt launched the public affairs firm that bore his name where he provided clients government relations insight, grassroots advocacy, and strategic communications. Campaigns and Elections Magazine recognized his work by naming him a Top 500 Influencer in the nation and one of the top 10 influencers in Kansas.

Earlier in his career Matt served on the legislative staff of the late Senator Bob Dole (R-KS) in Washington DC, assisting with healthcare and financial issues. Matt was later asked by former Kansas Governor Bill Graves to lead the state’s oversight agency for long-term care facilities.

Matt has served on numerous boards, including the board of the Topeka Independent Business Association and was the president of the board of Cair Paravel Latin School, a classical Christian K-12 school in Topeka. Two years ago, Matt was chosen to be the American Legislative Exchange Council’s (ALEC) Private Sector Chair for Kansas and was most recently named the 2021 Private Sector Chair of the Year by ALEC’s National Board of Directors. 

Matt was raised in Topeka, Kansas, and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Kansas. Matt and his wife, Stacey, have three daughters.
