With a distinguished thirty-year career in Midwest politics and public policy, Matt has built a reputation for delivering results on a wide range of client issues — from national household brands to nonprofit initiatives at the state and local level.
In 2010, Matt founded a lobbying firm bearing his name, providing clients with expert government relations counsel, grassroots advocacy, and strategic communications. His leadership and impact in the field were recognized by Campaigns and Elections Magazine, which named him one of the nation’s Top 500 Influencers and one of the top 10 influencers in Kansas.
Earlier in his career, Matt served on the legislative staff of the late U.S. Senator Bob Dole (R-KS) in Washington, D.C., focusing on healthcare and financial policy. He was later appointed by former Kansas Governor Bill Graves to lead the state’s oversight agency for long-term care facilities.
Matt’s commitment to community and service is reflected in his board involvement, including with the Topeka Independent Business Association and as president of the board of Cair Paravel Latin School, a classical Christian K-12 school in Topeka. He currently serves as the Kansas Private Sector Chair for the American Legislative Exchange Council (ALEC) and was honored as the 2021 Private Sector Chair of the Year by ALEC’s National Board of Directors.
Raised in Topeka, Kansas, Matt earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Kansas. He and his wife, Stacey, are parents of three grown daughters.
