Mick uses his experience as a former elected official on the state and local level to successfully guide clients through opportunities and challenges alike and has earned a bipartisan reputation as a trusted resource for lawmakers across Nebraska. 

Prior to joining HBS Nebraska, Mick was a named partner in one of the state’s top lobbying firms, Bromm Nielsen and Mines. He earlier served as vice president of marketing and public affairs at HunTel Systems, a diversified Nebraska telecommunications, cable television, internet and technology corporation.

Mick was elected twice to the Nebraska Legislature where he was chairman of the Banking Commerce & Insurance Committee, vice chairman of the Government, Military and Veterans Affairs Committee. He also served on the Judiciary and Telecommunications and Transportation Committees. 

Mick is a former mayor of Blair, NE, and served as president of numerous organizations including: League of Nebraska Municipalities; Nebraska Diplomats; Blair Area Chamber of Commerce; Gateway Development Corporation and the Nebraska Independent Telephone Association.  He was also a member of the executive board of the National Conference of Insurance Legislators and previously chaired the elected board of the Omaha Public Power District.
