HBS Maryland Managing Principal Sarah Peters has again been recognized by The National Institute for Lobbying & Ethics (NILE) as a top lobbyist in its annual list, the second time in just three years. In making today’s announcement NILE said, “a dedicated panel of judges conducted blind evaluations of each nominee, ensuring that recognition as a Top Lobbyist is based entirely on remarkable performance and dedication to the profession within the year.”
As Managing Principal of the Husch Blackwell Strategies Maryland office, Sarah has rapidly made her mark and garnered bipartisan respect across state and local government. Sarah has established a diverse group of procurement and legislative clients in industries spanning energy, healthcare, technology, and transportation. Prior to HBS, Sarah served as the Legislative Manager for the Maryland Department of Transportation Maryland Transit Administration (MDOT MTA) where she led the departmental priorities before the Maryland General Assembly – successfully advocating for a number of large transit-related priorities and interests.
Sarah noted at today’s announcement, “Government affairs bridges the gap between communities, businesses, and policymakers as decisions are made. I enjoy the diversity of issues I advocate for and the art of crafting winning strategies.”
