Displaying innate skill in guiding priorities through government processes, Sarah has rapidly made her mark in Maryland government. Sarah’s expertise and accomplishments have garnered respect from both sides of the aisle.
Her ability to see the full picture while harmonizing strategies with client needs and processes has produced a go-to resource for clients seeking advisement on legislation, state budget matters, regulations, association management, and procurement. Sarah has worked with clients to obtain critical information to their procurement strategy in virtually every state across the country.
Sarah’s previous experience in government includes serving as the Legislative Manager in the Maryland Department of Transportation Maryland Transit Administration (MDOT MTA), a post to which she was appointed by Governor Larry Hogan. In the role, Sarah drove the departmental priorities in Maryland’s capitol, successfully advocating for a number of large transit-related priorities and interests.
A connector who has built a network of key relationships, Sarah has a track record of success advocating for client priorities. Sarah has led the Maryland office of Husch Blackwell Strategies since 2020 and with her pulse on a wide range of issues, Sarah has developed a broad clientele base spanning countless industries, including energy, healthcare, technology, transportation, etc.
Sarah is a genuinely tireless advocate, lobbying in front of municipal and county governments in Maryland.
The National Institute for Lobbying & Ethics (NILE) named Sarah to its annual list of top lobbyists from across the United States. She was one of only 21 state and federal lobbyists from large lobbying firms recognized on the 2022 list.
A Maryland native, Sarah received a bachelor’s degree from American University and a juris doctorate from the University of Baltimore School of Law.
