William “Rocky” Fox brings more than a decade of experience in the public and private sector to Husch Blackwell Strategies. He currently represents the Motorcycle Riders Foundation (MRF) and the Outdoor Amusement Business Association (OABA). The MRF is a national association advocating for the interests of the over 8 million motorcyclists nationwide. The OABA is the premier association for the carnival and mobile entertainment industry focused on work labor, tax and transportation policy. He also ensures compliance with federal lobbying disclosure laws and Federal Election Committee contribution rules.
Previously, Rocky served on the staff of the federal lobbying firm Cloakroom Advisors, LLC. Prior to Cloakroom, Rocky worked at Cassidy & Associates. While at Cassidy, Rocky worked on a variety of issues for an array of high-profile clients, including MGM Casinos, AT&T, and Drive Right USA.
Rocky also holds experience on Capitol Hill, working for the House Transportation and Infrastructure committee during the passage and implementation of the 2005 Transportation Bill (SAFETEA-LU). While on Capitol Hill, he worked with a team of senior staffers on the Railroad Subcommittee that held investigative hearings on the AMTRAK Board of Directors.
Rocky also worked at the American Enterprise Institute (AEI), organizing monthly symposiums on upcoming elections and monitoring polling data and media coverage with senior scholars.
Rocky earned a BA in History and Political Science from the University of San Diego and holds a Master of Public Policy degree from American University.
