Husch Blackwell Strategies Broadens National Footprint to 10 Offices with Brett Robinson to Lead HBS Oklahoma

Ninth State Capital Office Opens in Oklahoma City and Led by Brett Robinson 

Husch Blackwell Strategies, a national bipartisan advocacy firm, is continuing its growth across the country with a new state capital office opening today in Oklahoma City. A trusted national brand for federal and state lobbying, HBS has one of the largest networks of state lobbyists in the country with a prominent federal practice in Washington, DC.

The new HBS office will be led by Oklahoma native Brett Robinson who brings over 34 years of combined experience in legal advocacy and state lobbying to his new position as Principal. Brett’s successful career in public policy and law includes establishing and leading Oklahoma City-based lobbying firm Capital City Associates; counseling clients as a partner at a leading state government relations firm; and serving as Assistant General Counsel to the Oklahoma Insurance Commissioner.

Brett Robinson is recognized for his diligent work representing clients at the Oklahoma state capitol for more than 20 years including serving as President of one of the state’s top trade associations, the Beer Distributors of Oklahoma (BDO). His success has included securing an entirely new Article in the Oklahoma Constitution relating to alcohol manufacturing, distribution, and sales. Brett also represented a Fortune 5 health insurance company and worked to bring Managed Medicaid to Oklahoma while gaining significant ground for clients on oil and gas long lateral reform legislation, and legislation relating to the retail sale and marketing of e-cigarettes.
